County Offers Free Quit Smoking Program

The class includes free therapy and tools to stop smoking.

The Pasco County Health Department is lending some free help to those who want to quit smoking.

The county along with the Gulfcoast North Area Health Education Center is hosting a free Quit Tobacco program to the public. The 2.5 hour long class provides smokers with tips on quitting including free nicotine replacement therapy including patches, lozenge or gum. The program is offered to all Floridians and sponsored by the Florida Department of Health.

The next class will be held on May 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Pasco County Health Department Education Center, 10841 Little Road in New Port Richey.
