Foundation Supporting Disabled Veterans Needs Your Vote

The Abilities Foundation was chosen as one of four finalists for Home Depot's Aprons in Action award.

The Abilities Foundation recently teamed up with the Home Depot to renovate the home of a severely disabled Land O' Lakes veteran.

Now, in recognition for their work renovating the homes of 14 Florida veterans with disabilities, the foundation recently was named one of four national finalists for Home Depot’s November "Aprons in Action" Award, which carries a prize of $25,000.

To win, they need your support.

"If we receive the highest number of votes on Facebook between now and Nov. 30, we’ll win $25,000 to benefit upwards of 600 veterans and families annually at our Veterans Victory Garden — a purposeful gathering site for therapeutic, recognition, and fundraising functions that engage, serve, and honor wounded military veterans and their service in defense of our nation," foundation president Frank Delucia wrote in an email.
