GET OUT: Weekend Events Preview March 24-27

There's a lot going on in the area this weekend, so why stay home? We've put together a list of fun things to do in Land O' Lakes and nearby.

It’s Thursday and the weekend’s just around the corner. If you’re still stumped on what to do, we’ve got some great ideas.

Where/When: Shops At Wiregrass, 28211 Paseo Drive, Wesley Chapel. Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Why Go: Start your weekend a night early with live entertainment and music at the Shops at Wiregrass Spring Concert Series. Tonight's performers are The Score, Slick Nickel and Fred & Lauralie.l. Wiregrass has a wide selection of great restaurants and children may enjoy a romp in the Kids Zone, with face painting, basketball, and much more.
Price: Free!

Where/When: Hampton Inn & Suites 2740 Cypress Ridge Blvd in Wesley Chapel. Thursday at 6 p.m.
Why Go: Join Time For Wine this evening for a special tasting event to raise funds for Relay for Life Pasco. Guests will enjoy samples of a variety of fine wines from all over the world, hors d'ouerves prize drawings and more in support of a great cause. Local band, Ferengata will perform live music for the evening. A percentage of the proceeds will go directly to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
Price: $12 per person and $18 per couple at the door

Where/When: Sims Park and Orange Lake, Bank St & Grand Blvd. Daily through April 3. Gates open at 5p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. on weekends.
Why Go: Plan ahead for a family trip to New Port Richey for the 2011Chasco Fiesta. This eleven day festival celebrates Native American culture and history with an array of daily events for the public. This weekend, families will enjoy carnival rides, Native American Pow Wow, and Sand Soldiers of America Street Parade.
Price: Free, Ride Wristbands are $15 on Thursday and $20 Fri.- Sun.

Where/When: St. Pete Times Forum, 401 Channelside Dr, Tampa. Saturday at 8 p.m.
Why Go: Here's an event you may want to head into Tampa for. Seven time Grammy Award-winner, Kirk Franklin joins famed comedian, actor and best-selling author, Steve Harvey for an evening of spiritual gospel music and non stop laughs. The pair will perform live at the St. Pete Times Forum this weekend spreading the message of God, laughter and inspiration at the St. Pete Times Forum.
Price: Tickets start at $39.50.

Where/When: Lykes Gaslight Square Park, 410 N Franklin St. Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
Why Go: Downtown Tampa will be transformed into a race track for the 2011 Tampa Twilight Criterium. The 0.8 mile course begins and ends at Lykes Gaslight Park . The event will feature live music, food and beer gardens, activities for children and much more.
Price: Spectators free. Riders $10-$43.
