Land O' Lakes Nurse Promoted To Vice President at Hospital

Celeste Kallenborn will service as Vice President of Acute Care at Tampa General Hospital.

Celeste Kallenborn has served as a registered nurse for 22 years. In that time she's been a program manager for the trauma unit and director of medical surgical services at Tampa General Hospital.

Now Kallenborn, a Land O' Lakes resident, will serve as the Vice President of Acute Care at the hospital, according to a press release issued earlier this week.

Kallanborn joined the hospital in 2001 and was soon promoted for her work on several successful projects. In her new vice president role, Kallenborn will help oversee the hospital's patients being seen for or treated for multiple illnesses such as heart attack or respiratory illnesses as well as patients being cared for after operations.

Tampa General Hospital is a 1,018 bed facility including a trauma unit and children's medical center.

Kallenborn earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Business Administration, and professional certification as a Nurse Executive, according to the release. Her work has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Trauma, Journal of Emergency Medicine, and the American Journal of Infection Control. She has several articles in medical journals like Emergency Medicine and the American Journal on Infection Control and has served as a speaker at national conferences.
