Valentine's Day Bummin'? You Can Celebrate Anyway
A party for the 'cold-hearted,' an unconventional love story and fun stuff from around the web for those who won't be indulging in roses and chocolates this year.
For some, it's a sweet occasion. For others, well, no so much.
And if you happen to fall into the latter category, there are a few things you can do to make this Valentine's Day fun without the roses and sappy sentiments.
- Check out Warm Bodies at Cobb Theatre in Wesley Chapel. According to IMDB, "After R, a highly unusual zombie, saves Julie from an attack, the two form a relationship that sets in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world." See theater website for show times.
- Primebar at the Shops at Wiregrass will play host to a Screw Valentine's Day party, which features "hot specials for the cold-hearted." Join other singles and Valentine's Day protesters at 9 p.m. Thursday for $5 drink specials for women and free champagne.
- Land O' Lakes teens can get in on the protest action at the library's Anti-Valentine's Day Dance from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15.
