Red, White, Blues & Country Veteran's Day Celebration

Local Country Award Winning Jenny Rimmer will be performing

Brooksville, FL - The Hernando County Crime Stoppers, Inc. will present “Red, White, Blues & Country: A Veteran’s Day Celebration” on Saturday, November 9, 2013, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. The outdoor event will be
hosted at the Strong Tower Vineyard and Winery, 17810 Forge Drive, Spring Hill.
The entertainment for the “blues” portion of the evening will be by Brooksville’s own “The Blues Pig” Band,
followed by headliner local award-winning country artist, Jenny Rimmer.
The Presentation of Colors, honoring all veterans, will open the festivities. Wine, beer and food will be available for purchase; prizes will be raffled throughout the evening.
Strong Tower Vineyard and Winery will offer a wine tasting, which is included with a purchased ticket to the event. Vendors will be on hand offering a variety of food selections, Fisher Honey Bees will be there with Honey Baked Delights for Dessert and beer and wine will be sold. Many prizes will be raffled throughout the evening. Guests are asked to bring a chair and a flashlight.
The authorities, including law enforcement, cannot always solve crimes on their own. Forensic science and investigative skills are vital, along with information from the public. Crime Stoppers recognizes that someone other than criminals may have information about crime, and the program was developed to combat the public's fear of reprisals, public apathy, and a reluctance to get involved. The program provides anonymity to “tipsters,” where callers are given a tip number instead of being asked for their name, and calls are not traced or recorded. If the information offered by the tipster leads to an arrest and/or conviction, a reward may be paid to the caller. Simply stated, the Crime Stoppers concept is based on the principle that someone — other than the criminal — has information that can solve or prevent a crime. Crime Stoppers enlists the help of local concerned citizens and then pays for that help.
Hernando County Crime Stoppers is part of the Crime Stoppers organization that spans the United States to create a network of local programs that work together to prevent and solve crimes in communities and schools
across the nation. The 501(C) 3 non-profit group is partially funded by the Florida Office of the Attorney General; general operating funds must be raised through other means, such as community events.

Bring your chair or blanket, and a flashlight for a truly special evening under the stars!
