Pasco County Tax Collector Mike Fasano invites all Pasco residents to “Be a Santa to a Senior” this year. All four Pasco County Tax Collector offices are participating in the annual holiday program which is held in conjunction with Home Instead Senior Care, an organization dedicated to providing services to the elderly, many of whom who do not have family or friends to provide companionship and assistance.
The “Be a Santa to a Senior” program provides gifts and other necessities that elderly residents of long-term care facilities need and may never have a chance to otherwise receive. To participate, stop by one of the four tax offices (details below) and claim an ornament from the gift tree in the lobby. Purchase the requested item and bring it back to the tax collector’s office before the requested due date. It is that simple! Home Instead Senior Care will wrap and deliver all gifts to long-term care residents throughout Pasco County.
“If you are looking for a way to bless someone this holiday season, then the ‘Be a Santa to a Senior’ program is a great way to go,” Tax Collector Mike Fasano states. “I encourage everyone to stop by one of our offices, pick up an ornament, and bring some holiday cheer into a senior’s life. This is a way for everyone to touch the lives of someone who may be alone and in need.”
