Tax Collector Mike Fasano Announces Salvation Army Red Kettle Holiday Drive

Tax Collector Mike Fasano announces that the Pasco County Tax Collector’s office will be hosting the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Holiday Drive on December 7 and 14 at the Gulf Harbors, Land O’ Lakes and Dade City offices.  The iconic red kettle will be available to collect donations from 9 AM to 1 PM at the three tax collector’s offices.  Volunteers from the tax collector’s office will be ringing the bell during the entire time the kettle is “open.”

“Supporting the Salvation Army and its excellent programs has always been a top priority of me and my staff over the years,” Tax Collector Mike Fasano states.  “This year we are pleased that we have three locations that we can dedicate to this important fundraising effort.  The services that are funded by this effort make a lasting impact on the lives of women, children and families all throughout our community and beyond.”

The Salvation Army’s Center of Hope provides immediate, temporary assistance for those who need food, shelter, clothing and other assistance due to a crisis situation.  Additionally, the Salvation Army runs a respected domestic violence shelter which has helped countless women escape from violent and abusive relationships.  The Red Kettle Drive provides a large portion of the Army’s operating funds for these and other needed programs throughout the year.
