Cindy's Pets Expanding Help Across Pasco For Pets of the Elderly

Cindy's Pets has expanded! They have been serving elderly, Meals on Wheels clients in West Pasco and now East Pasco clients are being served.

Cindy's Pets is an all-volunteer group that collects donations of cat, dog and bird foods and treats. They store all at Trinity Self Storage, 4134 Little Road, New Port Richey, FL 34655.  Once a month, volunteers get together and pack up the volunteers cars for delivery to the pre-qualified clients.

Working with the Pasco County Elder Nutrition Dept., clients were receiving their weekly human meals and sharing that with their pets - they had no money to pay for pet food. Cindy's Pets saw the great need and started this wonderful program. They also get Christmas gifts for their clients and a spay/neuter program is being implemented.

In July, Pasco Board of County Commissioners gave a resolution commending them for their service to the Elderly.

There is a FB link Cindy's Pets, like them and you can see when the next packing party is. We can always use extra hands.  Packing, drivers, transportation for pets to be spayed/neutered are allneeded. You can contact Missy Nurrenbrock @ mnurrenbrock@genesiselementary.com with any questions about the program.

It's only a couple hours a month and you can make a BIG difference.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
