Authorities: Handgun Pulled on Man in Land O' Lakes

Land O' Lakes resident Michael John Conley was arrested on aggravated assault Monday.

A 31-year-old Land O’ Lakes resident was arrested for aggravated assault after allegedly pulling a handgun on a man.

Michael John Conley, 31, of Wajer Road, said he pointed his weapon at the man but only after the man pointed his weapon at him. Conley said he was defending himself, according to a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office report.

The alleged incident occurred in the early morning hours Monday, June 10 on Brookside Drive. Conley was arrested and taken to Land O’ Lakes Jail but was later released after posting $5,000 bond.
