Crime Stoppers Offering Cash For Tips about Wendy's Robbery

Tips can be give over the phone, online or via text or app.

A reward is being offered for information that leads to the identification and arrest of two men who robbed at gunpoint a Wendy’s restaurant in Land O’ Lakes s last week.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay announced Thursday that it is offering as much as $1,000 in cash for the information.

Two people crawled in the drive-through window of the fast food restaurant shortly after midnight Thursday, June 30, said Pasco Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kevin Doll said last week.

One suspect carried a gun and the other carried brass knuckles, Doll said. The two suspects were clothed in black, and their faces were covered. According to witnesses, one was wearing red tennis shoes.

Employees were inside the 2328 Raden Drive Wendy’s at the time, Doll said. A shot was fired, but nobody was hit. At least one employee was struck with the gun or brass knuckles.

The suspects escaped the scene with money from the restaurant, but the amount is undisclosed.
