Former Buccaneer Arrested For Driving With Suspended License

Maurice Aurilius Stovall lost his license for failing to pay traffic fines, according to authorities.

A former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Land O’ Lakes resident was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

Maurice Aurilius Stovall, who played in Tampa from 2006-10, was driving his pink Land Rover south on U.S. Highway 41 in the early morning hours Monday (Aug. 5). A sheriff’s deputy ran his plate and saw the suspension for failure to pay traffic fines.

Stovall, of Vista Del Lago Avenue, was stopped, arrested and taken to Land O’ Lakes Jail, where he was later released.

The 28-year-old wide receiver and tight end also played for Detroit and Jacksonville, according to nfl.com.

Stovall is the second former Buc to be arrested in the Land O' Lakes area in recent days.
