Former Buccaneer Lineman Arrested in Land O’ Lakes

Pasco County Deputies brought in Chartric Darby on Aug. 3 on domestic charges. He was part of the Bucs' 2002 Super Bowl-winning team.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Chartric Darby faces domestic battery charges after Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies say an argument at his Land O’ Lakes home turned physical.

Darby, 37, and his wife got into a dispute over her desire to leave the couple’s 20405 Oakville Drive home the afternoon of Aug. 3, according to a Pasco arrest report. Darby’s wife told deputies he pushed her.

While deputies say they saw no visible marks or signs of redness on Darby’s wife and Darby denied touching her, he was brought to the Land O’ Lakes jail and booked on domestic battery charges.
