An arrest has been made in the Feb. 22 slaying of a Land O’ Lakes woman.
According to a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office media release, Hillsborough County deputies picked up Theodore Diller, 57, of 5439 Julia Lane in Land O’ Lakes on a Pasco warrant for first degree murder. Diller is accused of shooting his wife, Rhonda, 58, yesterday.
“Theodore allegedly waited under her car for two hours yesterday morning and when Rhonda let her dogs out, he shot her in the chest with a .357-caliber revolver,” the release said. “He then stood over her body and shot her again. He covered her with a blanket and returned to his house and consumed numerous prescription pills.”
The body was discovered by a family friend before noon on Feb. 22.
Theodore Diller was Baker Acted after the body was found and taken to a hospital in Hillsborough County.
