I-75 Lanes Reopen After Fatal Crash

A Land O' Lakes man is said to have hit and killed a construction worker.

The southbound travel lanes of Interstate 75 have reopened following a fatal crash in the Brandon area that involved a driver from Land O’ Lakes.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol media release, the accident occurred just before 4:30 a.m. as workers from Pepper Construction were using a 2002 Ford utility truck to trailer a message board on the road’s outside shoulder.

At this time, Logan Feagle, 21, of Land O’ Lakes was driving southbound just north of 60 and “failed to maintain control” of his 2002 Chevrolet Z71 pickup truck. The truck hit the message board trailer and the Ford trailering it. Also struck was a construction worker who was standing outside the truck on the driver’s side.
