Land O’ Lakes Woman Critical Following Crash with Semi
The accident took place in the early morning hours of March 6 on State Road 56.
Sarah Scoggins, 31, of Land O’ Lakes is in critical condition after an early morning accident March 6 on State Road 56 at the Interstate 75 overpass.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Scoggins was heading east on State Road 56 on the overpass around 1 a.m. as a semi truck driven by Hector Broche, 38, of Spring Hill was traveling north on the exit ramp, turning left onto State Road 56. Troopers say Scoggins’ 2007 Hyundai SUV struck the rear of the semi, traveled into the median and then overturned.
Scoggins was taken by helicopter to St. Joseph’s Hospital. Broche was uninjured in the crash.
