Lutz Bicyclist Dies Following Bruce B. Downs Crash
The accident occurred early yesterday afternoon near Interstate 75.
Albert Sims Dyson of Lutz died today at Tampa General Hospital following an accident that took place Sept. 10 along Bruce B. Downs Boulevard in New Tampa.
According to the Tampa Police Department, Dyson, 67, was riding a bicycle near Interstate 75 when he was struck by a vehicle.
Officials say that 23-year-old Stephanie Miller of St. Petersburg applied her brakes but was unable to avoid hitting Dyson, who was in the road. Dyson was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital.

The accident caused lanes on Bruce B. Downs to close down for a time yesterday.
The crash remains under investigation, but officials have said it appears the driver was not at fault.
