Lutz Man Dies In Morning Crash
The one-car accident took place on northbound Interstate 75.
A 24-year-old Lutz man died in a fatal, one-car crash that took place this morning on Interstate 75.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol media release, Shaun Casey McLeod was headed northbound on I-75, south of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, around 3:40 a.m. when he lost control of his 1995 Honda Civic.
Troopers say McLeod’s car ran off the road and onto a shoulder where it began to spin in a clockwise direction. The driver’s die of the car struck a metal utility pole and came to rest facing southeast.

McLeod was killed as a result of the crash, which remains under investigation, the report said.
