Man Accused of Ringing Doorbell, Punching Window
He went to a woman's house to confront her about her boyfriend, deputies say.
A Land O' Lakes man rang the doorbell, then punched a woman's window. Now he faces criminal mischief charges, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
John Byron Vaughan, 51, showed up at the woman's home Monday, Aug. 20, to "confront her about her boyfriend," a complaint affidavit stated. After hearing the doorbell ring, the woman looked out the window to see who was there. That's when Vaughan punched the window, breaking it, according to the report. He then fled in a 1991 Cadillac.
Vaughan of 6351 Wisteria Loop was arrested Tuesday morning. He was released from the Land O' Lakes jail later that day.
