The firearms were allegedly stolen from a home on Birds Eye Drive.

A 22-year-old Tampa man was arrested for stealing firearms from his girlfriend's parent in Wesley Chapel.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Matthew Allen Wilson Jr. was assisting in caring for the Birds Eye Drive home and dog while the parent was on vacation.

Wilson allegedly stole seven firearms from the residence. Prior to being interviewed by authorities, Wilson had made arrangements to return the guns through his girlfriend, the sheriff's office said.
