Man Charged in San Antonio Bank Robbery

Tips led to the arrest.

The man wanted in connection with a morning robbery at the San Antonio Federal Credit Union has been arrested.

According to a media alert, Raymond Barnes, 31, of 37212 Majestic Oaks Court in Dade City was charged with the crime. Deputies were able to identify him based on tips they received after releasing a security photo earlier today, Aug. 30.

Barnes was arrested this afternoon after Dade City police officers spotted the rental car he was driving. They performed a traffic stop and sheriff’s office detectives made the arrest in the robbery.

The robbery took place this morning around 10:50 a.m. when Barnes is said to have entered the 12542 Curley St. bank. He said he had a gun and demanded money.

No one was injured.
