Man Dies in I-75 Crash

A 21-year-old Largo man was killed when his car hit a tree and overturned on the side of a Pasco County roadway early Thursday morning, authorities said.

Christian Nicholas Reimer was headed north on Interstate 75, just south of State Road 52, at about 12:50 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Reimer's Pontiac Grand Am traveled into the center grass lane "for unknown reasons," investigators said, at which point he over-corrected to the right. His car traveled back across the northbound lanes and onto the outside grass shoulder, where it crashed into a tree and overturned.

Reimer suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, the highway patrol reports.

The incident remains under investigation.
