Woman Tackled Outside Pharmacy, Police Urge Caution

The crime took place at a local pharmacy.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office is asking residents to remain cautious after a robbery took place outside the Champions Pharmacy, 9945 Trinity Blvd in Trinity.

Here's what happened according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office Facebook Page update:


A 29-year old female victim left the pharmacy after receiving her prescription and while walking to her car in the parking lot, she was tackled to the ground. She wrestled with an unknown white male between 20-25 years of age who was 150-190 pounds and between 5'8 and 6'2. 

The victim struggled to keep her prescription bag. The robber grabbed her prescription bottle out of the ripped bag and the victim pulled his shoe off as he fled. The sheriff's office was not able to track the subject.

The victim sustained minor injuries. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Pasco County Sheriff's Office Crime Tips Line at 1-800-706-2488.
