Primary Voter Registration Deadline Approaching

Voters must be registered as Republicans by Jan. 3 to be eligible to vote in the Jan. 31 primary.

Planning to vote in the Jan.31 primary? The deadline to register as a Republican is Tuesday, Jan. 3.

That's when voter registration books will close for all new registrants to the state of Florida and to anyone wishing to change their party, Supervisor of Elections Brian E. Corley said in a press release.

The 2012 primary is a partisan election for registered Republicans only. There are no democratic candidates, minor party candidates or amendments on the ballot for this election, the press release stated.
