Government Offices, Schools Close On Monday

Presidents Day isn't the only reason for the closings.

As Pasco County Schools close in observance of Presidents Day, many Pasco County government employees will take part in training Monday, Feb. 21. To accommodate multiple training sessions, some government offices will be closed to residents.

“It is an efficient, cost effective way for our staff to interact and get training without inconveniencing citizens,” explained Commissioner Pat Mulieri.

The in-service training day will affect some Pasco County offices, but not all.

The property appraiser, supervisor of elections and tax collector’s office will be open for business as usual. Pasco County Public Transportation and the Pasco County Resource Recovery Facility will also open their doors for service.

The clerk’s offices, courts and most agencies under the Pasco County Commission will be closed. They will resume normal operation Tuesday, Feb. 22.
