Pasco Tax Collector’s Office Workers Are On Their Game

When a mistake was made, they discovered it and took steps to correct it right away.

Government employees often get a bad rap for being the kind of workers that just don’t care about what they do or the people they serve.

While that sometimes may be true, it’s typically an exception – not the rule. That’s why I’d like to take a moment to thank the employees at the in Land O’ Lakes.

You see, not too long ago, my husband paid the office a visit to renew the tags on a vehicle in his name. We have two registered with him as the lead, but only wanted to renew one at the time. Despite that, the employee accidentally charged him for both, but only issued one new registration.

My husband didn’t catch the error. I found out the next day when I was checking our bank account information online. When I called the Land O’ Lakes office to find out how to either get the money refunded or just collect the registration for the second vehicle, the employees were poised and waiting for my call. They caught the error early that morning and had already left a message on my phone that I hadn’t retrieved yet.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how honest, professional and helpful the employees at the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office were. Anyone can make a mistake; not everyone steps up to the plate to not only acknowledge it, but take steps to remedy it.

My thanks go out to these folks for acting quickly and getting everything straight for us.
