According to an article in the Tampa Bay Times, Gov. Mitt Romney’s campaign has been eyeing a Central Pasco stop on Saturday with Land O’ Lakes High School listed as a venue of choice. The Times reported that the rally was tentatively placed on the school website's calendar for Saturday, Oct. 27, but it no longer appears.

Jill Bader, a spokeswoman for the Romney campaign, said Romney’s schedule is still not set in stone. She could not say with certainty if the Republican presidential hopeful would make a stop in Land O’ Lakes.

“We’re looking at several different locations across the state,” Bader said. “Once any schedule gets locked in, I can confirm.”

At this point, the only scheduled stop on Romney’s calendar is in Pensacola.

If Romney did come to town, he wouldn’t be the first big-name politician to pay a visit. Vice President Joe Biden visited students at Oakstead Elementary School in 2011.
