Accreditation Team Pleased with Pasco Schools

The school district's accreditation should be safe for another five years.

Pasco County schools made the grade with the AdvanceED accreditation panel during that agency’s visit to the area earlier this month.

A team of reviewers from the national agency’s accreditation board spent three days touring schools and interviewing school board members, hundreds of administrators and teachers. The group of reviewers also met with students, parents, community members and business partners, according to an article in The Tampa Tribune.

While a final decision from the school accreditation agency has yet to come, the team indicated its satisfaction, the Tribune reported. It also found some areas of concern, including diversity and communications improvements.
