Land O' Lakes High Thespians Excel in One-Act Performance, Competition

The following information was submitted by Land O' Lakes High School:

Over the October 5 weekend, the Land O' Lakes high School Thespians, Troupe 4740, traveled to Haines City High School and took part in a one-act play competition. After debuting the play Drop Dead, Juliet here at Land O’ Lakes High School, the actors went on to present an award-winning performance at competition. 

Spending only a few short weeks to audition, cast, rehearse, and build the set, the troupe received a rating of "Excellent.” One cast member, senior Carinne Julien, won the All-Star Cast award.

Drama instructor Heather Adams commented, “I am extremely proud of these students, most of whom are brand new to our program and some who are new to theatre completely. We cannot wait to see what is still in store for this year theatrically!”

The following students brought to the stage a series of one-act plays this fall: Carinne Julien; Jacob Pollock; Michael Cabrera; Natoya Lambert; Danielle Graves; Fanchon Penansky; Jenna Fiore; Molly Scherer; Czariah Jones; Briana Garcia; Chris Babson; Alexandra Foltin; Claire Alexander; Cara Coughlin; Anna Goltermann; Veronica Grady; Tyler Maister; Salina Fugate; Valissa Treul; Jennifer Vincent; Katelin Gonzalez; Taylore Presta; Maureen Presta; Cayla Coffell; Isabella Short; Liz May; and Zoe Vener.
