Father’s Day Themed Fly Tying Class

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will not require saltwater fishing licenses during Father's Day weekend, June 18th and 19th.

In celebration and preparation of the license-free fishing weekend, Tampa Bay On The Fly is hosting a special Father’s Day Fly Tying event on Tuesday, June 14th from 6:30pm until 8:30pm.

Come join us for cold beverages, fun and fly tying; beginners need not to worry. Attendees will learn how to tie a specific fly for the fish currently in season. Fly tying is fun and easy! Flies are usually tied in the sizes, colors and patterns that best match the prey fish are attracted to. These could be insects, baitfish, crustaceans or any other food a fish may consume during its life cycle, and are typically called “imitator” patterns.
