Man Crashes into Deputy’s Car, Gets Away
Pasco County deputies say the man, who has an extensive criminal background, is wanted on a number of charges.
The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is asking area residents to keep their eyes out for a man they say is wanted on a number of charges. Anthony Batta, 24, was last seen in the Moon Lake area, according to a sheriff’s office media release. Around 8:30 a.m. today, Nov. 10, Batta crashed into a deputy’s cruiser, drove about a mile and fled on foot. The vehicle he was using was seized, but Batta remains at large. Batta was last seen in the area of 12544 Catalona Ave. in Moon Lake. He is described as being 6 feet, 3 inches tall and has a number of tattoos. “He is a known gang member and considered armed and dangerous,” the media release said.
