Black Friday Shopper Arrested After Line Cutting

The Land O’ Lakes woman is accused of creating a disturbance at an Orlando-area Walmart.

Black Friday shopping resulted in a trip to jail for one Land O’ Lakes woman who police say refused to go to the back of the checkout line. According to TBO.com, Samantha Chavez, 28, of Land O’ Lakes now faces charges of disorderly conduct and resisting an officer without violence after a late-night trip to the Altamonte Springs Walmart, 200 S. State Road 434. Chavez, who was caught on camera by a fellow shopper, was asked by a police officer to follow the checkout flow. She agreed, TBO said, but turned around and tried bypass a line again. After several warnings from the officer, Chavez started screaming. The officer then tried to escort Chavez from the store, but she began throwing items on the floor. Target Stores Announce Black Friday Hours, Deals

The stores will open earlier this year for Black Friday shoppers.

Target will be pulling an all-nighter come Black Friday Eve. The store announced this week that they will open at 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22 with select Black Friday savings. The store will begin offering additional Doorbuster sales at 4 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 23. In Land O' Lakes, that means you can head over to Super Target at 1040 Dale Mabry Hwy or 16400 State Rd 54 right after you finish off that Thanksgiving dessert. "We heard from our guests that they look forward to kicking off their holiday shopping with deal-hunting on Thanksgiving night," said Kathee Tesija, Target's executive vice president for merchandising in an announcement.
