And the Beat Goes On as Flash Mob Finds New Location
Dancers from all over the region gathered at a craft fair to celebrate National Dance Day on Saturday. After the event was set to be cancelled, a local church stepped in at the last minute and gave permission for the organizers to use their property.
Just after 1 p.m. on Saturday, at Calvary Chapel Worship Center, a young woman started dancing at a craft fair. She was soon joined by a second dancer, and then suddenly there were around fifty people dancing in unison to the sound of "Pulse" by Pitbull. After several minutes, the flash mob of dancers stopped and shoppers and performers alike went their separate ways. If a student at a local Zumba dance class and the organizer of the craft fair hadn't stepped up, there might not have been a flash mob on Saturday. Really Gulfview Square Mall? God Forbid you let 50 people dance for 2 minutes. With as deserted as its been lately I would think that would of been a great little boost. Makes me not want to shop there anymore.   more ›
