Stay Safe This Holiday Season

Holiday safety is a very important and sometimes overlooked item with all the rush this time of year.

The holiday season is upon us and it's in full swing. Thanksgiving has passed and now we are on the way to the holiday with many beautiful decorations. Many people go all out in making their home the talk of the neighborhood with all of the lights and decorations. As pretty as they may be, and as fun as it is to decorate there is still something everyone needs to be aware of, that is holiday safety. The term holiday safety covers many different areas and many different agencies give some very valid tips for your safety. Time For Giving

Give the gift of time to those you love this holiday season.

In the harried days leading up to Christmas Eve, there can be a tendency to think of what you need to get for yourself, your family, your pets or parties.  It is possible that you may encounter at least one meltdown by a fellow parent friend at the mall, or worse, in the middle of Walmart.  Taking a moment to listen can be the best gift for that friend.  Taking a deep breath and being truly present for those in your life can also model an excellent example for your children, even when they try to be backseat drivers directing you to look at all the Christmas lights and decorations along the way.  But, this typical behavior of our children makes a good point. We need to look at one another, listen to one another, and acknowledge that one …
