SUV Rollover Kills Land O’ Lakes Man; Three Others Injured

The 27-year-old victim died from injuries, after being ejected from the vehicle.

A 27-year-old Land O’ Lakes man died after being thrown from a vehicle that flipped over Saturday at an Interstate 75 ramp on Interstate 4. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Stephen Wolfe was a passenger in a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by 22-year-old Lauren Kelsey Carter, also of Land O’ Lakes. Carter was traveling east on I-4 in the center lane at about 3:20 a.m., FHP stated. She changed lanes to the I-75 entrance ramp and apparently lost control of the vehicle, driving onto the right shoulder of the ramp. Tractor-Trailer Crash Causes Partial Closure on I-75

A tractor-trailer improperly changed lanes and overturned Wednesday afternoon, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Interstate 75 South in Wesley Chapel was partially closed for two hours this afternoon after a tractor-trailer improperly changed lanes and struck another vehicle.  According to Florida Highway Patrol, truck driver Julio Rosario Alicea, 45, of Riverview was traveling southbound on I-75 when he decided to change from the inside lane to the outside lane. During the change, Alicea struck the side of a 2007 Toyota Prius driven by Thea Moore, 40, of Wesley Chapel. Alicea over-corrected to the left, then to the right, which caused his vehicle to overturn and strike the guardrail. The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. this afternoon. Update: Car Accident Leaves Land O' Lakes Woman Dead

The three-car accident happened on U.S. Highway 41 Saturday night.

Update 1:24 p.m. Sept. 30: The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the 67-year-old woman who died as Patricia Ann Flanagan of Land O' Lakes. Earlier: A 67-year-old Land O' Lakes woman died after she was involved in a three-car accident on U.S. Highway 41 on Saturday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol. Another driver, 41-year-old William Hock, was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital-North with serious injuries as a result of the crash. The woman, whose identity has not been released, was headed northbound on U.S. 41 approaching Bell Lake Road driving a Jeep Cherokee, according to an FHP report. Hock was traveling in front of the Jeep in a Hyundai Genesis when he began slowing down to make a right onto Bell Lake Road. The car …

FHP Investigating Fatal Crash in Lutz

The accident happened in the northbound lanes of the Suncoast Parkway south of State Road 54 at about 3:30 a.m., according to the Tampa Bay Times.
