Live Music, Food Trucks at 'Truckin' for a Cure'

Proceeds from the event benefit the Suzanne Ciani Brain Cancer Foundation.

Food truck fans, there's a monthly event you may want to put on your calendars. "Truckin' for a Cure" happens the first Friday of the month at Holy Trinity Church of Lutz, 20735 Leonard Road, according to the event's Facebook page. The events benefit the Suzanne Ciani Brain Cancer Foundation. "There will be food trucks with amazing food, live music and many vendors," organizers wrote. The next "Truckin' for a Cure" will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. Food Truck Rally Serves Up Sunday Supper

The fundraiser event kicks off at 5 p.m. on Oct. 14.

The Gathering Place Wood Fired Oven in Lutz might have the answer you’re looking for. Just leave the pots and pans behind and head over to the 16319 N. Florida Ave. eatery from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 14 for a food truck rally with a purpose. The first-ever event of its kind at The Gathering Place is designed to do several things. “Our whole concept is to support as much of our local economy as we can,” explained Christopher Fuller, managing partner in the restaurant. The Gathering Place does this daily by buying locally grown organic produce and shopping local as much as possible. The rally is also meant to help local food truck operators while raising money for a homegrown charity. Fuller said the idea for the rally came from his association …

Food Truck Rally in Wesley Chapel Tonight

If you're a food truck fan, or if you don't have dinner plans, you are in luck. A Tasting Tampa food truck rally will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. tonight at Wesley Chapel High School, 30651 Wells Road in Wesley Chapel. According to the group's Facebook page, vendors include: 3 Suns Organic Bistro, 2 Asians and a Grill, Just Smokin BBQ, Americanwiener, Burger Culture Tampa and Unforgettable Cupcakes, Co.
