Healing Touch Skin Care and Wellness Center celebrated its recent expansion with an event that raised nearly $400 for Habitat for Humanity.

Healing Touch Skin Care & Wellness Center, 3016 Land O Lakes Blvd,  hosted a spring health fair and vendor expo March 16 to celebrate its expansion. The free event featured information on the latest alternative medicines, stroke screening, local vendors, raffles and a silent auction. Proceeds from raffle ticket sales and the silent auction will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of East and Central Pasco. "We raised almost $400," Healing Touch owner Lori Ellis said. "We had very gracious donators and raffle prizes." Ellis chose East Central Habitat for Humanity "because I went and helped on a build in Lacoochee in February and had such a great experience, and it goes to such a good cause," she said in a previous Patch interview.

We want to know what you think about the great—and not-so-great—local businesses in Land O' Lakes. Each day we will feature a business for our readers to rate. Give them a star (or five!), comment on their service, what they do well, what you appreciate most, or why you would/would not recommend them. Today's featured business is Healing Touch Skin Care.  We wrote about this wellness center back in November, and several readers raved about its owner, Lori Ellis. Are you a customer? Tell us why! And business owners, don’t forget to claim your directory listing on Patch. Doing so can help you enhance your online presence and will enable you to better engage with your customers.
