Check out these events for Saturday morning Easter egg fun.
Grab your Easter baskets and your camera and head out to one of these fun events in Land O' Lakes on Saturday, March 30. The Heritage Park Foundation's annual Jellybean Jamboree brings the Easter Bunny to town from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. at the Land O' Lakes Community Center. The annual event for children 12 and younger features crafts, refreshments, age-specific egg hunts and a visit from the Easter Bunny. More information Northpointe Church will host this family friendly event from 9 to 11 a.m. on March 30 featuring a pancake breakfast, egg hunts every 30 minutes and an inflatable obstacle course. The clinic and family fun day will benefit HPH Hospice.
Want to have a great time and learn a new sport? The Land O’ Lakes Rowing Club will host a Row and Drive event on Saturday, April 20 at Laird Park in East Lake Park-Lake Padgett Estates to benefit HPH Hospice. The Learn to Row/Sculling clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. “We will do some dry land drills, then move to shallow water drills, then to actually going in the boat with some experienced rowers,” head coach Mary Jane Kranendonk said. “My master's women and high school kids will help me with the clinic and also help in the boats.” Participants should wear comfortable clothing, tennis shoes and socks. A hat and sunglasses also are suggested. Life jackets will be available for those who want to wear one, Kranendonk said. …

The Land O' Lakes Recreation Complex will be hoppin' Saturday when the Easter Bunny comes to town. Pasco Parks and Recreation's annual Bunny Hop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, with plenty to keep youngsters entertained. "We have been doing the Bunny Hop for several years and our staff set up bounce houses, games, and a candy scramble," administrative secretary Jackie Carleton said. The Pasco Library System's 16th annual Rockus Maximus: Battle of the Bands is Friday, March 22.
Are you ready to rock, Land O’ Lakes? The Pasco County Library System’s battle of the bands will go down Friday, March 22, and organizers say it’s going to be the best show yet. “Rockus Maximus is aimed at teens and above, though everyone is welcome to come,” Teen Services Manager Paul Stonebridge said. The 16th annual battle, which is staged without taxpayer dollars as a way to raise awareness about the musical arts and libraries gives young acts a chance to perform in a real concert. To compete, the majority of band members must be 21 or younger and have at least two original songs.
