Want to have your say on the future of transportation in the Land O' Lakes area and the entire Tampa Bay region? All you’ve got to do is pick up the phone and make a call on April 3. That’s when the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority, or TBARTA for short, plans to host a town hall-style telephone meeting with Pasco County residents. The meetings are meant to provide residents throughout the region with an opportunity to talk about such things as the future of transportation, the Regional Transportation Master Plan and priority projects coming up, according to a media release from the agency. TBARTA was formed by the state Legislature in 2007 to create and implement a master transportation plan for the seven counties it serves…

Check out what this reader had to say about the roads in the area.
We appreciate our readers and their contributions to the conversations on Patch. Last week we asked which roads in Land O' Lakes concerned you most, and Bill shared his thoughts. Here is an excerpt from his comments. US 41 and SR 54 are without a doubt the two most dangerous roads in the Land O Lakes area. I personally feel the danger arises not so much from speeding as from reckless, intolerant driving practices of drivers. One often feels they're competing on the NASCAR circuit while driving these roads. Do you agree? And are there other roads in the area that concern you? Thanks for sharing your views on Patch, Bill!
