Please join us from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20 in Heron Hall at Learning Gate Community School in Lutz to hear Patino speak about engaging, empowering and encouraging passive bystanders—those who witness acts of bullying but do not intervene for a variety of reasons. Learning Gate Community School draws students from all over Hillsborough and Pasco County.   For all of you who attended the Special Use Hearing on Monday to show support for the school, thank you. The letters of support that were submitted to the county, the signed petitions and your physical presence and comments made quite an impact. Those that opposed the school were very vocal. Basically, the major complaints were concerning the traffic that will be generated by the school on Sunset Blvd., destruction of the wetlands, and the …

It is our first year at Learning Gate also. Both of my children just love it! Both kids have repeatedly voiced how upset they are about school ending in a few weeks. That is one complaint I have never heard from them before. LG is very different from any other school I have encountered. Congratulations to both the students and staff :)   more ›
