There's More To This County Agency Than Meets The Eye
Pasco County Elderly Nutrition/Meals on Wheels provides a variety of services countywide.
Feeding hundreds of people a day isn't an easy task, but Pasco County Elderly Nutrition pulls it off without much fanfare. Under the direction of program manager Gabriel Papadopoulos, the agency serves on average about 800 people per day. This number is achieved through a combination of Meals on Wheels program participants and through eight congregate dining facilities located throughout the county, including one in Land O' Lakes. The Meals on Wheels program is funded in part by the Older Americans Act (OAA). "Meals are for people who are 60 years of age or older, who are frail and home bound," said Papadopoulos.
