Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies are going to the public to try and find information on a man who has exposed his sex organ in public several times. On Feb. 20, a black man got a Pasco County Public Transit bus at Gulf View Square Mall around 4:45 p.m., according to the Sheriff's Office. He exposed his sex organ and masturbated while looking at a female passenger. Tampa police say someone broke into a South Tampa apartment and made off with a silver Dell laptop. Before leaving, the suspect also grabbed a few grocery items, too. In addition to the laptop, police say the suspect took two pounds of bananas, a gallon of milk, two cartons of eggs and a gallon of ice cream. Imagine answering your phone and being told that if you don’t send the caller a certain amount of money, they’ll kill your son. It might sound like something terrible or the plot of a Hollywood drama, but the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office says it’s happening in Land O’ Lakes. “They get the victim acting on their emotions to go immediately to a store and send the money instead of calling their relative,” a Sheriff’s Office spokesperson writes in a press release. In recent incidents, the callers have told victims that a family member was involved in a traffic accident in which they were at fault. In one case the caller told a man that he was holding his son in his basement and if his demands weren’t met, he would “bury him in a hole.” In …

A 12-year-old boy was arrested and charged with throwing a deadly missile after authorities say he threw a Gatorade bottle from a school bus. According the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, the Weightman Middle School student "intentionally and maliciously" threw the nearly full bottle from the window while the bus was in motion. An osprey that was found shot in East Lake has had its injured wing amputated. The female osprey was found injured Saturday morning near the Pinellas Trail, just off East Lake Road and across from East Lake United Methodist Church. A Temple Terrace man claiming to be a reserve deputy has been arrested by the Temple Terrace Police Department for impersonating an officer. Police became suspicious of Daniel Rangel Jr., 22 of Tampa, after he seemed uncertain of jurisdictional boundary when he spoke with police. Rangel Jr. is a member of the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office Volunteer Citizen Patrol Program. St. Petersburg Police have arrested and charged 22-year-old Robert Spalla with impersonating a St. Pete Fire & Rescue firefighter. Police say starting in November 2012, when one of his family members was in All Children's Hospital, he began to pose as a firefighter at the hospital. Police were investigating the deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were found by a teenage girl in a New Port Richey home in an apparent murder-suicide. The girl, who was the daughter of the woman found in the house, came home Monday, entered the house and found the man's body hanging inside. At that point, she called the authorities. She did not see her mother's body. It looks like the woman died "as a result of homicidal violence characterized as blunt force trauma," said New Port Richey Police Chief James Steffens. A man in a wheelchair just trying to shop at a Sarasota Walgreens overnight Tuesday was punched and robbed outside the store by a couple who are now being sought by the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office. A man and a woman approached the 45-year-old victim as he came out of store just after midnight Tuesday and attempted to buy his prescriptions, but he had only purchased over-the-counter allergy medicine, according to the sheriff's office. When the victim attempted to get into his car, the male suspect tried to grab the man’s satchel from around his neck, authorities said. A 28-year-old suspect driving without a license has been captured by deputies after trying to ram a patrol car and leading officers on a chase through Bradenton and Palmetto, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. The chase ended when Bryan Johnson, the suspect, tried to exit his own vehicle and jump into a vehicle driven by his 67-year-old mother, whom he had phoned to pick him up. Johnson faces charges that include: aggravated assault on an office, fleeing to elude, habitual driver without a license, vehicle pursuit and cocaine possession, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Christmastime mail theft spree in the Riverview area. At least 100 people in three subdivisions were struck overnight, Bloomingdale Patch reports. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to identify a bank burglar they say breaks in after-hours and then leaves without taking anything from his crime scenes. The serial burglar has so far been connected to nine burglaries in three separate counties. In the two Hillsborough cases, the man broke into his target banks and left without anything to show for his efforts.
