Linda V. Losacano and her daughter were reported missing in May.
The human remains found in a wooded area of Wesley Chapel on Nov. 15 have been tentatively identified as those of Linda V. Losacano. Losacano and her then 5-year-old daughter were reported missing by Losacano's sister on Saturday, May 5. The father of their child, Timothy Dean Arnold, shot himself when the Pasco Sheriff's Office SWAT team forced entry into the home they shared on May 6 because of concern for the child. The child was found and safely taken out of the home at that time. The cause of death is not known, Sheriff Chris Nocco said at a Nov. 19 press conference. “I spoke with her sister, who is obviously upset,” Detective Daniel Toner said. Investigators continue search for Linda V. Losacano and decline to elaborate on evidence found that may indicate foul play in the case.
The investigation into the whereabouts of a missing Wesley Chapel woman continued Tuesday with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office asking again for the public’s assistance. Authorities indicated on Monday that evidence found at Linda V. Losacano’s home may indicate foul play in the case, however deputies continue to work the investigation as a missing person’s case. “She may be in a desperate situation right now and we need to find her,” Sheriff Chris Nocco said during a press conference Tuesday. Pasco Sheriff's deputies forced entry into their residence Sunday evening after attempting to perform a welfare check. A 5-year-old girl was removed safely from the home at that time.
A Wesley Chapel man is dead and a woman is still missing after deputies forced entry into their home Sunday evening. According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to 27154 Ravens Brook Road at about 5:30 p.m. in reference to a follow-up investigation on the whereabouts of Linda V. Losacano, 49, and her 5-year-old daughter. The two had been reported missing by Losacano's sister, who at one point said she had not heard from her in 17 days, according to Sheriff Chris Nocco. Deputies did a welfare check Saturday at 12:30 p.m., then another at 1:30 a.m. Sunday without response, Nocco said.
