Find out what Land O' Lakes area children want for Christmas this year.
Who's been naughty and who's been nice? Land O' Lakes Patch employees got to find out during Traditions on the Green, Dec. 10. Patch employees gave Santa a hand by collecting letters loaded with wishes. From PlayStation 3's and sugar gliders to happiness for all, the desires were both big and small. The letters appear here online so Santa's elves can easily look them up as they stuff the sleigh for that upcoming big ride Dec. 24. Scroll through the gallery to find out just what kids (and a few parents) are asking for this Christmas.

There's still time to sponsor a game or craft booth at the upcoming annual event.
The Heritage Park Foundation and Land O' Lakes Saturday Market will once again host Traditions on the Green from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 10 at the community center, and there is still time to get involved. "We really encourage anyone that wants to become involved to sponsor a booth," event organizer Sandy Graves said in an email. "Just takes a tent, two volunteers and a craft or game." A booth can be reserved for $10 through Dec. 1. After that, the price increases to $15. The event, in its fourth year, will feature ornament making, crafts, puppet shows and a bounce house. Commissioner Pat Mulieri will provide her "famous face painting," Graves said. The Rotary Club of Land O' Lakes will prepare and serve a breakfast with Santa from 9 to 10 …

In October, the group plays host to Scarecrows N Stuff, an event for small children that takes place during the community center’s annual haunted house. December is the month for Traditions on the Green, and then there’s the Al & Ida Silver Memorial Classic Car Show to think about, Graves said. With so much coming up …
