Garbage Truck Takes Out Connerton Sign
The Florida Highway Patrol says the community’s entrance sign at Pleasant Plains Parkway was damaged during a crash this afternoon.
While no one was seriously injured in a crash that occurred today on Land O’ Lakes Boulevard, the Florida Highway Patrol says Connerton residents might notice some changes at the community’s entrance on Pleasant Plains Parkway. According to the FHP, the accident happened around 2:25 p.m. Jan. 28 as Charles Kory, 42, of Spring Hill was driving a Waste Services of Florida garbage truck northbound on Land O’ Lakes Boulevard. Kory was approaching the intersection of Pleasant Plains Parkway when he attempted to make an abrupt turn, “but lost control and overturned,” a highway patrol media release states.
