Especially since Higginbothem was one of the original;proponents of the Regent until it started getting all the bad press then he did his best to run as far away from it as he could. Seems to be a trend here...

I love it when all the liberals come out to defend everything their Messiah's administration does. Benghazi, IRS, AP scandal nothing to any of it. Too bad even your liberal buddies in the media don't all agree with you. Once you open those doors they are hard to close. I bet all you haters would be up in arms if the governement started to use the iRS to investigate groups like Move on and big Obama donors...keep drinking the kool aid.

If the plan is to keep the existing Wal Mart on Bell Shoals (news to me) shouldn't that have been spelled out in the article? Welcome to Hillsborough county where land development is a dirty word and urban planning a foreign concept. I know for a fact that the county won't allow anymore restaurants to be built on E. Bloomingdale Ave. due to traffic but giant gas stations and multiple Wal Marts are okay? In the end something will be built on that land and most likely it create a negative impact on traffic, safety and drainage in the area it's just a matter of which is the lesser evil.

Obviously, they want to replace the old small Walmart with a bigger one just down the street next to the library. Have you seen the traffic nightmares that the store on Bell Shoals causes...maybe that's the reason it's one of the most dangerous intersecions in the county. Do the traffic projections take into account less traffic at the current location or is this just another :"journalist" throwing stuff up on the wall to see what sticks?

    Michaeal D-
You mean like the term "tea bagger" or "repugs" or "repubtards" which many on the left including the media like to use on a regular basis? Who made you the gatekeeper of what words are acceptable and which ones are not? Liberal is a word just like conservative that refer to political ideologies that have been used for a long time. Get off your moral high horse and get over yourself...nobody cares what people call each other on the Patch and you are not going to change anyone's mind or political agenda. Political partisenship is how it works in our country and our politicians are masters at pointing fingers and not accepting any blame. Maybe you should take your no label campaign to Washington DC and see how far you get.

Martha Dunningham- Do you really believe the garbage you are regurgitating? Your points might be taken a little more seriously if you just cut and pasted directly from whatever far left source you are getting your info from so at least it's comprehensible. Finally, our schools are actually improving a lot but in order to know that would involve actually looking and understanding the statistics you claim to know.

    Gail Perry-
Many of the things you describe were also done by your Messiah Obama but I'm sure you'll never see it that way. Politicians flip flop all the time in fact our President has done it so much his nickname should be Mackerel. Scott can't win with you lefties, you hate him when he does something wrong and hate him even more when he does something right for whatever reason. Do you agree with that ignorant woman on the school board (who makes a lot moe than teachers make) who said the teachers should not accept the $2500 becuase she didn't like the reason he was doing it? Should Scott not expand medicaid because you think he's only doing it for political reasons?

Phil Ryan- Why are you so full of hate? Is your significant other not offering you any tea bags lately? If we want pro Obama propaganda we'll just tune in Pravda MSNBC like you do to get your "facts". You can regurgitate everything that dingbat Pelosi tells you, I'll take the word of the many healthcare professionals I know who tell me it's a train wreck who's true impact is still not fully known. If the true intent was to insure everyone they could have simply let citizens buy into medicare early four years ago but there was no political victory in that. Instead we get we get a bureaucratic monstrosity which creates many new agencies to control it and makes the IRS probably the worst run government agency as the gatekeepers.
