ReplyWe need more good restaurants! NOT a chain and not take -out...but family owned neighborhood restaurants we can go to. Italian, American, Chinese... Upscale Pizza. I miss having local places to go since I have moved here a few years ago. We have to drive all the way down Dale Mabry to get to good places to eat. Also...when they built the Collier Parkway extension did they forget the street lights? It is so dark when we drive to our subdivision. Also...US 41 is an eyesore and the run down properties need to be sold with new businesses revitalizing Land O Lakes.

ReplyThere is no courtesy on the roads in ANY town. Is everyone in a hurry just to get to the next red light? On Collier Pkwy. where the road merges into one lane there are constant reminders of discourteous drivers who will push you off the road if you don't get out of their way so they can be first. We all need to learn to be better drivers. Get off the phone, and watch the road!

ReplyWhy miss all the chemicals that are in these products today? Go on the internet and get recipes for the REAL twinkies and you will really be in heaven. Nothing artificial is so much better to eat.

ReplyWe really need quality restaurants here in LOL. Not fast food! We already have too many. We need a gourmet food market like Fresh Market or Whole Foods. We need an Einstein Bagel. We need a TJ Maxx and Home Goods. We need Lowes or Home Depot. We just need more quality stores. Ross...not so much. No more junk stores please!

ReplyThis make our area a shopping destination. Don't worry...there is still lots of land left for open pastures we all moved here to enjoy. This new mall will bring new restaurants too..don't we really need more QUALITY places to eat out here? Maybe Home Depot or Lowes will get interested too...I have to drive a long way now for either. Maybe Whole Foods too! This is a good thing for our area! YEAH!

ReplyThanks Jeff! I really enjoy reading about the history of the area. I would love to know more about the the land around Ehren Cutoff and how it has evolved into what it is today. What did it look like before the subdivisions were built? What roads existed? What types of businesses existed on the land we now call our home?
