Shannon was born and raised in southern New Hampshire. She moved to Tampa, Florida following her highschool graduation and attended Hillsborough Community College where she received a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been working with young children in various settings for 15 years.

Following a few years of moving to various locations including Indiana and California, Shannon settled with her family in Land O Lakes. She and her two children are very active in the community. In her free time Shannon enjoys reading, writing, running, yoga, being outdoors and spending time with her family.
