Adela cares for our 6 hens daily. Not only has having backyard chickens provided us with fresh eggs daily, but it has shown our daughter the benefits to sustainable living as well as the benefits of composting and fertilizing. In addition, her daily 'chores' have taught her a great deal about responsibility. We do not have the option to live in the country right now, and we are very fortunate that North Hudson allows backyard hens...less than a mile from downtown Hudson.
