Best of 2012: Naturist Lives from the Heart
Nudist and community leader Paul Brenot made history in Pasco County. He shared his story with Patch in January.
As 2012 comes to a close, Land O' Lakes Patch is taking a look back at the year that was. In January, we featured a profile story on a community leader who made history with his efforts to bring international tourism to Pasco County.
Paul Brenot, founder and past president of Pasco Area Naturist Development Association, secured a tourism development grant from the county to promote the area's naturist resorts to European tourists on Dec. 20, 2011. The grant marked the first time Pasco commissioners would use public money to promote the county as a destination for naturists, and it was likely a first in the nation.
Brenot and others in the organization also work to educate others about naturism, and support a variety of local charities, including Sunrise of Pasco, The Angelus House and the Suncoast Harvest Food Bank.
